Corax Avarr - Raven Designs

Well I decided to change the spelling of the name a little and call em Avarr Since I wasnt to sure if I liked how the name was before.

Anyhow, Due to feeling a little unwell last week I havent been able to post much stuff which ive done on the project so far so I'll post the others in small bunches so it doesnt over complicate what the images are of.

Anyhow this be one of my main work sheets that i started a while back. This just explains the facial features of the Raven Avarr forms which 3 examples are on the left.
The Faces where just rough drawings of what they could possibly look like, from teeth, hair and plumage as well as the facial structures.
How I saw it was the top one had a sort of elder look to it with its long beard and fewer teeth, the eye also made it have a softer look to the character.
The Second one looked a little menacing and probably the one i liked most out of the three. This onle looked slightly younger and i liked the add on of the ear which i may use on all of them, was not to sure about the teeth though , they blended in more as the beak so i may keep the teeth used in the third design.
The Third design i didnt like so much but it did show the race in another sort of body structure. This one was made slightly puffed up with feathers which made it look a little chubby ..lol XD
though I thought id leave it in as part of the design because I would expect them to have different body builds.

The corner bit on the work sheet just explains the eye structure and design. The have a feline like pupil just so it makes them look a little preditorial and feirce even though most of them are big over sized softys XD, and they are usually quite narrow.
They only have TWO types of eye colours. These be yellow and green because they went better together with the fur colour than any otthers. ALSO I thought the yellow was best because they'ed seem the type to glow in the dark. I may add more to this, im unsure yet.

Anyhow that about explains what ive done so far here, More of course will be posted on further developments of the Avarr. Im still expecting to do another few designs that aint just ravens :)
