Why do birds have teeth?

Ok so this was a smaller design sheet for the corax versions of the avarr.

Not much to really write about on this one as the previous design sheet except to explain about the small little features these guys have.

This Design sheet cover TWO main features that the characters have which i felt needed explaining because ive had people ask me things about the design which kind of got annoying.

First of all the feathers. The Avarr have feathers of course since they are AVIAN types of creatures. The feather colours can range from what ever species of Avarr they are, mainly the corax versions will have black feathers with shiny hints on purples and greens when the light shines on them, where as other avarr of say parrot kind are more vibrant in plumage.

The avarr DO also have hair. It wasnt one of the questions I got asked alot on but they have hair aswell as feathers because its just how they are designed.

The main problem I got however with people pointing out is why has it got teeth aswell as a beak? well ok i admit at the time i thought it would just look totally random for what ever reason :P .... because I like random things XD,
Anyhow I thought about it for a bit, and this could most likely cover why they have fur/hair but I figured since the Avarr are fairly Humanoid it would make sence for them to have some humanistic features added to them so why not give them teeth and hair? I felt that would be a good enough explination that would make some kind of sense anyhow. So now you all know why birds have teeth.
The bottom part of this design sheet breifly tells you this. The other part that also tells you about the teeth of Avarr just cover things like these are the only Avarr species to have those teeth because it just suited the design more, unlike the others.

They have long narrow type teeth that curve to one side slightly, The colour of these teeth do not normally match the colour of the beak, however I was looking over the Three facial designs in my previous post and the middle one kind of had a good beak going on even though it still looked like apart of the beak. Im still not sure wether I should use that Idea still or go with the curved, narrow teeth?

Anyhow that about covers this post ....and thats why birds have teeth :P
